After the debacle that causes the music industry to shut down last year, Brisbane’s Moondoll Festival returns this weekend, June 4, at the Mansfield Tavern, spread over 2 stages and featuring a great selection of rock, punk and metal guaranteed to appeal to music lovers of all tastes.
As part of HEAVY’s ongoing support of Moondoll, we asked some of the bands playing a list of questions to help get you acquainted with the bands before they take the stage.

HEAVY: Moondoll 2022 is nearly upon us. Does it seem surreal that after all of the events of the last 2 years you will finally get to take the stage?
AR: Shhhhhhh!!! Don’t jinx it! Haha!
We are bloody beyond ready for this festival!
But that COVID is a sneaky little bastard!
Lads are on a strict diet of: Don’t shake any hands, sanitise, stay away from everyone, sanitise, don’t talk to anyone, sanitise, basically lock yourself in your house until it’s time to meet at the airport Friday morning!!
What does it mean to you to be playing Moondoll?
Music is the one ultimate power that unites humanity!
Every festival is an opportunity to bring us all together with the common goal of having an awesome time rockin’ the fuck & feeding our souls!
So to answer your question… playing Moondoll means everything!
It’s a long day of music. What will you be doing to make sure you will still be standing come your set time?
First rule of band club. We do not talk about band club! Haha!
Actually we’ve asked our management to order four walking frames.
Give me your Top 3 Festival survival tips.
1- Alcohol… water… repeat. Stay hydrated!!
2- Make sure you got some spare cash to buy merch to support your fav bands!!
3- Be excellent to each other!

We think Betrayal is a good all rounder for the AR virgin
Finally, what plans does your band have for the rest of 2022?
Write more music, play more shows/festivals, make more fans, make bigger plans, release some killer singles, focus on being the best band we can be…. And that’s all just to begin with!
