GROOVER Review: GARAGE DISTILLERY ‘Spit It Out’

Share This:

Slovakian old-school metal outfit Garage Distillery have released the track Spit It Out, which is taken from their debut full-length Straight To Hell.

Firing straight up with a rocking as fuck rhythm-led intro, Garage Distillery have traces of Motorhead coursing through their veins, with the vocalist bearing more than a passing sonic resemblance.

It’s pretty much meat and potatoes hard rock, with a driving drum pattern and crunching guitars laying the foundations for an all out rock assault.

A tasty guitar solo approaching the two-minute mark shreds like a man possessed, acting as a momentary segue before the driving bass and drum signature returns and restores sonic balance.

The track suffers a touch in some key departments such as mixing and instruments in the mix, but things like that will surely come in time. As an introductory slab of metal to a fresh band, Spit It Out has the basics down pat, it just needs fleshing out.
