Swedish black metal stalwarts Watain have posted a teaser for their new single All That May Bleed from their impending album The Wild Hunt, set for release in Europe on 19 August and in America on 20 August 2013.
On 3 June Watain made the following statement via their website:
“All That May Bleed shows but one facet of a quite diverse album, but we chose this song as a first glimpse into The Wild Hunt because of its bombastic lunacy and white-eyed malevolence which could be said to constitute a main foundation for the album. The lyric is an invitation to sacrificial blood letting, ecstatic zealotry and human sacrifice. The salt of Satan in the wounds of Christ!”
All That May Bleed from the album The Wild HuntThe All That May Bleed single will be released on the European Summer Solstice on 21 June 2013 and will be available as a seven-inch vinyl limited to 2000 copies, a red seven-inch vinyl with sticker limited to 500 copies, and a seven-inch picture disc also limited to 500 copies. The Wild Hunt, released through Century Media, includes Side B with a cover of heavy metal band Taiwaz’s 1988 track Play With The Devil, with Watain enlisting the skills of Gottfrid Åhman from In Solitude on solo guitar.
Watain will embark on their worldwide tour for the The Wild Hunt just five days after its release, with their first show in their hometown Uppsala on 24 August.
“The plan is to make this concert everything we have ever wanted our concerts to be. In a touring scenario it is impossible to drag along all the horrors and infernal machinery we need for that, but performing in our hometown allows for a much more grandiose and spectacular stage show and performance. Mark our words, this night will be one to remember!”
