Sydney tech metal band Ouroboros have released a statement via their Facebook page that guitarist Barry Feeney has decided to move on.
Feeney, who joined the band last year and previously also played in Canberra band Aeon of Horus, will return back to his hometown.
“It is with sadness that we are announcing the departure of guitarist Barry Feeney from Ouroboros.
Barry has decided to move back to Canberra to focus on his other band Psynonemous, long with other musical projects.
Barry has dedicated the last couple of months completely to Ouroboros, and we are so grateful for everything he has bought to the band.
We wish Barry and Psynonemous success in all of their endeavors, and we would be honored to tour with them in the coming years.
Ouroboros will continue to play all shows currently booked as a four piece, which includes playing alongside The Amenta and Ruins in July.
Smash on Baz!”
Commenting on the statement, Feeney replied “The Decision did not come easy for any of us but I feel it’s the best one for myself and OUROBOROS”.
