Trash n’ Privilege is an American punk band hailing from Fresno, CA. Fresno is dusty, smoggy and hot; conditions which provide the ingredients required for Steve Shepard (guitar, vocals) Charles McClelland (guitar, vocals) Joe Triester (bass) and Jim Chaffin (drums) to cook up their own batch of punk rock.
The noise outfit is highly influenced by the 80’s California and DC hardcore scenes where they cut their teeth and grew up. Their style of punk is a caffeine laced cocktail of driving beats, big guitars, and raw vocals. Lyrically, Trash n’ Privilege deals with criticisms of big tech, hypocrite culture and everyday life experiences and a 24hr non-stop news cycle.
Check out the track Blood in the Water, which is the second single off the band’s record Commence with the Bum Out.
