It’s been another stellar week for Aussie metal with Lo! releasing their fourth studio album The Gleaners. It is another slab of heaviness from these guys that keeps getting better and better and vocalist Sam Dillon dropped by to chat with us about the album process.
We also spoke with Jason Whalley from Frenzal Rhomb who today released The Cup Of Pestilence and if you know Jay, then you know this chat is not to be missed! Erin catches up with Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Kyra nailed down Matt Young from King Parrot before their double run of SEQ shows and I got to chat with Jane’s Addiction but the big one for us this week is being able to feature the sensational work of Neville Pearce from Everblack Podcast who spoke with Aviana.
We bring you the first of our Knotfest Australia specials featuring backstage catch-ups with Alpha Wolf, Malevolence and Knocked Loose while Stoyan from Adriatic also called in to premiere their new track A Lighthouse In The Desert and fill us in on some details.
Plenty coming at you by way of live music, and we bring you the latest announcements and updates from The World Is A Vampire Festival, Frenzal Rhombs album tour, The Amenta being named to support Emperor, Sunk Loto, Hard Ons, Selfish Sons, Kings Of Thrash, Earth Caller and Don Broco have also announced their national supports.
Oceanlords and Stone Lions provide the new singles, and we review Frenzal Rhomb‘s album as well as the debut from Morana’s Curse plus reviews of The World Is A Vampire Battle of the Bands and Massic‘s last ever show.
That should keep you busy until the Easter Bunny comes. Remember, Good Friday is the only day we aren’t allowed to catch a live band, but things are back to normal from tomorrow.
Until next week, stay HEAVY
