From Zero to 100 with ZERO1ZERO

Share This:

Brisbane band Zero1Zero are one of the 24 bands that make up this weekend’s OUTMOSHYAMA Festival in Brisbane, with drummer Brendan Francis declaring the four-piece outfit are busting at the seams to get out there and promote their music.

“I look at it as a bit of an opportunity to meet other guys in other bands”, he measured, “and to network a little bit. All four of us will be looking to network with other guys but I think it’s just gonna be heaps of fun. We don’t really care if we make mistakes or what goes on. We’ll have a few beers before we go on stage – but we don’t wanna get too carried away (laughs) -but at the same time it’s gonna be a tonne of fun for us. These opportunities don’t come up all the time so when they do you have to grab them by the throat. I’m gonna be pretty nervous but after that first song starts and you get into it, it’s a muso’s dream”.

In the full interview Brendan gives a history on Zero1Zero, talks more about OUTMOSHYAMA and who they are looking forward to playing with, new song ‘Eye In The Sky’, how difficult it is to establish yourself in the modern metal industry, the state of the Brisbane metal scene, future music, the fine line between imitation and inspiration and where to draw it, plus more.
