Determined not to let the isolation blues grind them down, West Australian rock outfit Hailmary took advantage of the extra time on their hands by channelling it into an entertaining and extremely D.I.Y film clip for their song “Equilibrium”.

Featuring cameo appearances from a varied assortment of fans and ring-ins, the film clip almost flies in the face of the current feeling of despair by offering up a lighter side to events that have almost brought the music industry to its knees.

“We went with the idea of doing the clip iso style”, laughed frontman Kevin Curran, “but we didn’t wanna do it just as a jam with the band – we thought that was a bit boring – so we went a bit further and gave people the creative freedom to do what they wanted”.

In the full interview Kevin goes into greater detail about the film clip for “Equilibrium”, the selection process for guest appearances, filming in isolation, the exhaustive editing process, diversifying their music to encompass the entire rock spectrum, new music from Hailmary and more.
