With so many film news stories surfacing every day Heavy sets about gathering all those stories together in a special bite-sized format.

 

While Focus and Working Title’s brand new film Mary Queen Of Scots is yet to even been greenlit the casting team have been very busy not only locking in Josie Rourke as director but also adding Saoirse Ronan and now Aussie Margot Robbie to the cast. Some Hollywood pundits are already predicting that this is a film that could have Robbie as an Oscar nominee.

 

Media screenings for Laura Poitras‘s new documentary Risk, which takes an in-depth look at Julian Assange, have been cancelled at the last minute after the Justice Department announced that Assange’s arrest is now a priority. Poitras plans to update her docco with the new info before it is revealed to the press.

 

 

Marvel boss KevinFeige has announced that Avengers: Infinity Wars and Avengers 4 will not be shot side-by-side or even back-to-back. He also hinted that this may be the end of Phase 3 for Marvel’s Avengers and said we should expect some big news about Phase Four very soon.

It has been announced overnight that U.K. actor Callum Turner will play Newt Scamander’s brother in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Both film lovers will recognise Turner from cult film Green Room.

 

 

Universal have announced that Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson’s characters from The Fast And The Furious franchise will be getting their own movie spin-offs. The film is in early days of pre-production so we will bring you more news soon.
