With so many film news stories surfacing every day Heavy sets about gathering all those stories together in a special bite-sized format.


The X-Files is set to return to our screens again after a deal was done that will see Chris Carter once again team up with David Duchovny and Gillian Armstrong to films Season 11 of the supernatural series.

It will be filmed in summer 2017 and will air sometime over 2017-2018.


Filmmaker James Wan’s latest idea for a film has been snapped up very quickly by Lionsgate. The idea, which is a thriller called Smart House, will be directed by Alexandre Aja – who has previously directed Piranha 3D and The Hills Have Eyes.


Well, we have had our first sneak peak at what to expect from Insidious 4 but we are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see the finished product now. Universal Pictures and Sony who are partners on the film today announced that the film’s release date has been moved from October 20, 2017 to January 5, 2018


Since JossWhedon announced three weeks his plans to make a Batgirl movie everybody has been speculating who would be cast to play the lead role – well everybody can stop speculating because today announced that he plans on casting an unknown actress in the role.


Well, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 isn’t even in cinemas yet, Heavy has seen it but our review can’t go live until the embargo ends at 5.02pm on Monday, but Marvel has announced that director James Gunn will be back for the third instalment.
