UNIFY 2020 in Review

Watching the lines in the middle of the road as we weave our way through the country towns and open lands on Eastern Victoria, I’m reflecting on the past few days. The UNIFY Gathering has always been a place of comfort, a place of respect towards one another, a community. It’s a home away from […]

Review + Photos: GOOD THINGS 2019 Melbourne

As the clouds rolled over I watched the crowds of people making their way into the place we’d called home for the first time just 12 months before. It’s kind of funny how Festivals such as this one bring such a strong connection, like a family in a closed nit circle, unlike any other genre […]

BEARTOOTH at The Corner Hotel, Melbourne on 12/07/19

It’s nights like this that really make you appreciate all that we have in the hardcore/metal scene here in Melbourne. There is honestly no stronger sense of community that is defined by it’s ability to relate and connect with people, like this one that we’re all so fortunate to be a part of. Finding you’re […]

JOHN FLOREANI at The Workers Club, Melbourne 07/06/19

We find comfort in the space of others who we feel not only understand us but give us the opportunity to be heard and respected. A place where we feel just as at ease and content, like the space we call our home. Through the emotion, the love, the humour and even the awkward silences […]

BRING ME THE HORIZON, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and more at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne on 13/4/19

For the past 15 years Bring Me The Horizon have been one of the most criticized bands of the 21st century, constantly changing up their style to the dissatisfaction of a lot of people. From the early days of Count Your Blessings you see a band that brought nothing but thrashy breakdowns, death growls and straight up aggression. Fast-forward to 2019 and we see a band that’s gone through almost all the genres of music which includes the likes of Metalcore, hardcore, rock, pop and as seen with this year’s release of AMO, even electronica and hip hop.

The UNIFY Gathering 2019 in Review

As the fields begin to empty and all the miniature city [tents] we’d built days before come down, I watch the sun hit now vacant spaces I’d known as my home for the last 4 days. Reflecting on my experiences over this long weekend and just what this festival means to not only me but […]

GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL Review, Melbourne

If I could put the feeling of heat into words, I would, but there is not enough force in letters to express just how scorching the blistering sun was as we all made our way into Good Things Festival on Friday morning. Besides the heat, I have nothing but “good things” to say about this […]

Trophy Eyes at The Triffid, Brisbane on 26/08/2017

Flying back home, leaving a warm and sunny Brisbane, I’m reflecting on the past 24 hours and a night I’d never forget. I couldn’t resist the urge to travel to another state to see these guys play, they’ve been my go to the band over the last 12 months, and this was going to be […]
