XENOBORN Drop Second Single

Share This:

Tech – death duo XENOBORN have released their second single, Benign Obsolescence.

The duo have ramped up the relentless assault on guitars and drums as a followup to the 2021 debut release Terrortoma Opus. Derek Michael Burgess returns on bass and mic, delivering another showcase of extreme vocal range with Black Metal flavored roots. Listeners are warned to be seated, and not to be around sharp objects during the experience. Benign Obsolescence was mixed and mastered by Charlie Munro, of Munro Audio and tech death band Hellbore.

Xenoborn is an online-only technical death metal project, spawned in late 2021 between Matt (Melbourne) and Derek (Tennessee, US). Matt, being diagnosed with cancer in late 2021, returned to music after a decade hiatus during treatment. Seeking out Derek (Cracked Prism Studios) to front the project’s unique vocal and bass elements, the duo have amalgamated a crushing sound during their collaboration. The duo are writing for a future EP release.
