Review by Steve Jenkins

The kings of Deathcore have proved that they can stand tall amongst the biggest names in heavy music, with almost a decade of destruction and brutality to back them up. After starting a crowd funding campaign last year, Whitechapel have given fans something special in the form of a live DVD/CD and an in-depth documentary.

The live show is a showcase of the best tracks from Whitechapel in their hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Anyone who’s seen or heard this 6-piece before knows how awesome and incredibly heavy they sound live and this is no different. The live album features fan favourites such as Possession and This Is Exile as well as new songs including The Saw Is The Law and the crushing Worship The Digital Age.

The production is nothing short of stellar and you can tell they put their donated money to good use. A live album can be hit or miss, but this definitely makes you feel like you’re there with vocalist Phil Bozeman roaring his anthems of aggression in your face. If you contributed then you’ll already know how great this is. But if you didn’t, and you’re still a Whitechapel fan, then you owe it to yourself to purchase this today.
