Australia’s fastest-rising Neo-Surf Rock disruptors, Wave Raiders, are back with a new single, ‘Cage’. This hard hitting tune will knock your socks off!
The Sunshine Coast trio are creating their own brand of Neo-Surf Rock Psychedelia. Last year, they became the youngest band to ever join the line-up of Good Things Festival in Brisbane, which was attended by over 30,000 fans and headlined by TOOL.
With one of Wave Raiders’ music videos winning an award this year with the prestigious Berlin Music Video Festival, breakout singles gaining international radio play, and unforgettable festival moments (including being called onstage by Spiderbait to play ‘Calypso’ in front of 10,000 fans), this band are rapidly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting new rock exports.
Earlier this year, Wave Raiders went viral on social media when they surprised beach goers with an off-grid pop-up gig on the back of Utes at a remote beach at Double Island, just metres from the ocean. They gained over 1M views, Channel 7 news coverage, and a significant number of loyal followers – cementing their place as influencers in the industry.
Already recognised as one of the country’s hardest-working young bands, Triple J selected Wave Raiders for their 2025 Unearthed High Yearbook, noting previous single ‘My Way’ as a head-banger “most likely to headline a seaside festival”.
“Cage is about feeling locked inside a mental cage. It explores themes of teenage angst and mental health. It’s about feeling trapped in a future shaped by other people’s expectations and wanting to go back to the freedom of the past.”– Wave Raiders
To celebrate the release of their new single, Wave Raiders are holding a Single Launch Party at a secret Moffat Beach location on Sunday 26 July 2026. The location will be sent to ticket holders one week out from the event.
