Watch BAND TOGETHER: Isolation Covers Project – Episode #3 – Flyleaf’s “Chasm”

Share This:

The Band Together: Isolation Covers Project was born to allow musicians to collaborate on familiar and much-loved songs to help fill the gap presented with the challenges of COVID-19. So far Band Together has created fan favourites from bands such as Incubus and Tool, the rosters of each episode continue to get stronger.

Episode #3 sees the talents of some new local faces to the series covering “Chasm” by Flyleaf from their 2009 album Memento Mori. Matt New is joined by Mish Sharma from Brisbane Alt-rockers Torizon on vocals, Simeon Bartholomew from Sydney Math-noise rockers SEIMS, and Wollongong based session Drummer Nathan Edwards, whose resume includes working with artists from Kasey Chambers to Sevsons.

2020 has proven challenging for the music community, but, in the face of adversity, Sydney musician Matt New (Code Atlantic/Painting Fires) has rallied together musicians across the country for a noble cause. “The project has been a whirlwind. It is so reassuring that the series has generated so much positivity. Not only from people viewing, but the musicians participating” he explains.

“I’m very humbled to be assisting my fellow musician and music community in this dark time”.
