Van Hoose is a metal project that aims to blend modern influences with a timeless approach to sound. Their most recent release, Dancing With Demons, serves as a perfect example of this fusion, showcasing a distinctive sound characterized by a hard-hitting wall of sound and ambient background elements that contribute to the cinematic scope of the mix.
Derik Van Hoose, the founding member of the project, is very fond of collaborating with other musicians as a way to invite more variety into his compositions. The Illinois-based musician constantly sets the bar higher, exploring various sub-genres of metals while maintaining a very strong core identity and creative concept. Dancing With Demons is a collaboration between Derik on guitar/bass, Glenn Welman on drums and Frederik Jensen on vocals.
