TOWNHOUSE Share New Single ‘Vin Weasel’

TOWNHOUSE happens when three all-time best friends decide to form an indie/emo band at the end of high school. Members Cooper Smith, Dan Heath and Matt Burgess each channel their own life experiences and passions into songs that only they could write, wearing their influences on their sleeves while bearing a strong emphasis on collaboration and a die-hard DIY mentality. Crafting energetic, sappy, and self-deprecating songs since inception, TOWNHOUSE have created a niche in the ever-growing Adelaide scene, quickly becoming a must-see act.

The band returns with Vin Weasel, the final single off their upcoming sophomore EP Look At Me Now. The track is a two-and-a-half-minute release of pent-up and pushed-down energy, manifesting itself into a pop-punk/90’s skate scene-inspired cut. Narratively, the song takes place just after the end of a relationship, where the protagonist isn’t ready to take accountability, doesn’t want to feel sad anymore, and feels the need to ‘blame’ something and/or someone for what’s transpired. With tight full band hits, rapid, raspy vocal delivery and a timeless aesthetic, TOWNHOUSE deliver a concise, tidy yet raucous performance, solidifying their position as ones to watch.

“Some of the most honest I’ve ever been about how I’m feeling, a bit like bleeding over the page”.
