For those who need a quick history lesson, Sunk Loto dominated the Australian heavy music landscape in the late ’90s and early 2000s, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with international giants like Korn and Deftones. Their seminal 2003 masterpiece, Between Birth and Death, became a gold-standard textbook for Aussie metalcore. Then, they abruptly vanished into the ether for fifteen years.
When they burst back onto the live circuit in 2022, they didn’t just play shows; they absolutely decimated venues across the country to a multi-generational, bloodthirsty crowd. This brief, relentless East Coast trek will see the band tear through the Coolongatta Hotel on August 7 before two shows at Brisbane’s Crowbar on August 8 and 11, Sydney’s Crowbar on August 13, and finish by ripping the roof off Melbourne’s legendary Corner Hotel on August 14.
