| The Hard-Ons will finish off an eventful 2022 – a year that saw them finally able to tour their late 2021 ARIA Top 5 album I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken – with a final show at Melbourne’s on the afternoon of Sunday November 13 at Footscray’s Westwood Hotel, with Melbourne’s buzzing power popper The Prize as special guests. Ahead of that show, and their appearance the night before at Geelong’s River Rocks 2022 festival (alongside The Mark Of Cain and others), the group has announced a special vinyl reissue of their classic album Yummy! Many a fan’s favourite Hard-Ons album and the one that includes the evergreen “Where Did She Come From?”, 1990’s Yummy! was also the band’s most commercially successful, until the release last year of I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken. And while the new decade saw the band pushing to new extremes – they were becoming punkier, poppier and more metal all at the same time, becoming leaders in a range of different styles that would become hugely successful types of alternative music, from pop-punk, to hardcore, to thrash, as the decade progressed – Yummy! was their pop opus.
