The Arrival Of TURILLI/LIONE RHAPSODY

It is the tour that many never thought they would see. When Italian symphonic band Rhapsody Of Fire parted ways with Luca Turilli and Fabio Lione it seemed like the talented duo would never be seen again. Now like a phoenix from the ashes comes Turilli/Lione Rhapsody, not only with a killer new album but also with an Australian tour. HEAVY Mag was recently lucky enough to be able to sit down with Luca Turilli to find out what fans can expect.

“I can’t believe it,” says Turilli. “I am forty-six years and I get to come to your continent for the first time. I have been to New Zealand and I really enjoyed that. That was amazing, for me it was like I was in heaven. So I expect Australia to be much the same, and then on top of that we will get to meet our fans for the very first time. We will bring a great set list that will have some of our new songs, there will be some older songs that fit with the new material.”

“It is like a life experience,” says Turilli when I ask what it is like to travel to a new country and play for the first time. ‘You are enriching yourself by going into a new territory. It is a special thing for our band because when we heard from our management we were like ‘yes we finally get to go to Australia,’ we didn’t care about the fee, we didn’t care about the money, we just wanted to go… even if we have to pay ourself because it is something so special and it is a way to enrich yourself on the planet. You meet new people, see new places… it is amazing.”

Zero Gravity (Rebirth And Evolution) will be released on July 5th through Nuclear Blast
