Soundwave 2014 Line-up Rumours

HEAVY has painstakingly trawled through the tweets of Soundwave promoter, AJ Maddah, along with information from various other sources and contacts, to bring you this list of Soundwave 2014 line-up rumours, which will be updated as and when we hear any juicy new gossip.

We’ve had the second line-up announcement and Soundwave head honcho, AJ Maddah, has confirmed that there will be yet another announcment with more international bands.  The third announcement will probably include some Australian bands too.

So firstly, here are my predicitions unchanged (other than crossing out bands that aren’t going to be on the bill) since they were first made on 29 April 2013: Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, Crashdiet, Alice in Chains, Kvelertak , Godsmack, Disturbed or if not Disturbed then Device, Alter Bridge, Hollywood Undead, Izzy Stradlin, No Doubt, Shinedown, Newsted, Sabaton, Mastodon and the Unguided.

And here’s where we’re at now on the 8th November, 2013:

  1. So want to see Disturbed!!!!!

  2. I messaged John Connolly of sevendust on facebook about when they are gonna do an aussie show and he said “looking pretty good for soundwave” :)))))

  3. Jim: Thę bands who MUST come are System of a Down, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Statovarius, Rammstein, Helloween and Serj Tankian!!!! (And Infectious Grooves ONLY if Rob Trujillo is there)

Nat: I would KILL to see Iron Maiden, Sixx: AM, Manowar, Stratovarius, Hammerfall, Avenged Sevenfold, Children of Bodom, Disturbed, Helloween, Marilyn Manson, Simple Plan, Kreator, Thę Prodigy, Dream Theatre, Iced Earth, Korn, 30 Seconds to Mars, Motörhead, Rammstein, Slipknot, Slash, Tenacious D, Trivium and Wednesday 13!!!!!!

Please please please PLEASE do your best to have them all there!!!

  4. How do you compete with Metallica headlining a show this year? You can’t. You just have to make it a bloody good one. Fortunately and unfortunately my 2 fav bands were there this year (Dragonforce and Metallica) whom I’ve adored and seen live a few times now…. so almost anything they bring on stage now isn’t going to really get better than this year’s.

However, would love to see Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Alter Bridge, Disturbed, Hammerfall, Iron Maiden and Living Colour from the given lists.

It doesn’t spark as much interest for me as the last few Soundwaves though. And who would headline? Foo Fighters…. Iron Maiden?

  5. What about LORD (from Sydney)? Didn’t AJ say on Twitter a few months back that they will get a national spot if they are interested? They should be on this list!

  6. what about Death? Soundwave bought Anvil out here after their movie, lets get these guys out here now!

    • You mean the death metal band with the deceased lead singer/guitarist? I was unaware that we had perfected resurrection. Brilliant!

  7. Living Color, Bad Brains and Death. it’s the Black Rock Coalition of the Century!

  8. what about arch enemy, and definately maiden, push for motorhead, ale storm???

  9. Disturbed & Korn should headline the fact they are not tells me , they dont know what thete doin at soundwave.

  10. Alter Bridge are my favourite band and id rather they have a solo tour instead of always having a 30 minute set

  11. mudvayne pls

  12. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours as of late,
but I never found any attention-grabbing article
like yours. It’s pretty worth sufficient for me. In my opinion,
if all web owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the web will be much more
    useful than ever before.

  13. Really would love to see Of Mice & Men, Fall Out Boy, Memphis. May Fire, We Came As Romans & Crossfaith on the lineup.

  14. In regards to your Psychic Feeling mate, a friend of mine works intimately with the Australian touring industry and he’s gifted me with insider information.
Carcass are preparing for a national headlining tour in April, they’re still coming down but not for Soundwave.

  15. Slipknot will be there

  16. Every coastal area around the world is slowly becoming the
hotspots for tourist destinations, not only for the scenic beauty but also they offer varied range of water adventures.
