Snowdownia, one of the best Italian indie labels, has released OSSI, the debut album of the same name by the mysterious and freaky Italian psych-garage-prog collective.
OSSI is an exclusive vinyl with 12 tracks, and an amazing gatefold including a new artwork inspired by underground comics, with drawings by two of the most important graphic artists in Italy: Andrea Pazienza and Ugo De Lucchi.
Inside the gatefold, in a pocket, there is an album in the format of American underground comics of the early 70s (like Freak Brothers), with texts and credits of all the songs, plus comics and underground illustrations. A sheet with all the English translations is also attached, accompanied by notes that can help non-Italian listeners to better enter into the spirit of the texts and the project.
OSSI are Vittorio Nistri (keyboards, electronics, loops) and Simone Tilli (vocals, loop station). They’re coming from Deadburger Factory, the best avant-rock band in Italy. OSSI features three extraordinary musicians, coming from three very well-known Italian rock bands: Dome La Muerte (historical guitar player from Not Moving), Andrea Appino (guitars from The Zen Circus, renowned indie folk-punk-rock band), Bruno Dorella (experimental visionary drummer of OvO and Bachi da Pietra).
