Former U.F.O, Jagged Edge, Skin and Red,White & Blues guitarist and songwriter Myke Gray recently announced his new solo project Shades of Gray by releasing the video for ‘I Get Up, his homage to Glam Rock tinged 80’s hair metal.

‘I Get Up’ was produced by Myke himself, mixed by executive producer Pete Newdeck (Grim Reaper, Eden’s Curse, Midnight City), who also played all drum parts, and recorded in both Myke and Pete’s home studios. The video was filmed at Dream Studios in Florida.
On recording the song and singing on one of his own compositions Myke said “I always want to push myself on this musical journey that I have been travelling since childhood. First learning guitar, writing melodies, writing lyrics, learning how to produce, working with great musicians, learning how to make videos etc it’s all consuming for me. I have been telling some of the best singers in the world what to sing for years so I thought I should have a go while I still can.
Growing up I loved bands like Kiss, Van Halen, Motley Crüe and will be the first to admit that I’m someone whose trapped in the 80s & 90s
