Scott Weiland: Reports Confirm “Accidental Overdose”

According to reports, former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland has died from an accidental overdose of drugs. Rolling Stone have reported that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner in Minneapolis has confirmed an accidental overdose of cocaine, ethanol and methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA).

The singer was found dead on his tour bus on 3 December. In an out pouring of emotion, former bandmates from the Stone Temple Pilots wrote an open letter saying ” “The memories are many, and they run deep for us. We know amidst the good and the bad you struggled, time and time again. It’s what made you who you were. Part of that gift was part of your curse.”

More toxicology reports are expected within the next two months.
