30 Years Agonizing The Dead
Nuclear War Now!
Release Date: Out Now
Review by Jake Gleeson
Sadistik Exekution have been one of Australia’s most revered underground death metal acts, pioneering the raw, demonic sound since the late ’80s. You get exactly what you expect with this new release 30 Years of Agonizing the Dead; ripping, manic death metal, that is not without a sense of humour.
The album features a compilation of tracks and early demos from the band, with songs taken from the Suspiral (released in 1991) and Agonizing the Dead (1992) demos. This offering from the band presents the evil, low-fi Satanic take on death metal for which they are known, and upon listening will most definitely turn a younger generation onto extreme music.
If you’re into raspy, raw vocals and thrashy guitar riffs you’ll love these guys. 30 Years Agonizing the Dead is an essential compilation, showing what Australia has to offer. My personal favourite off this release would have to be Voltage by Sadism.
