Maryborough heavy-hitters Ruination release their debut album Everything Eventually on Friday, 10th October via Golden Robot Records, featuring new single Downward and an official music video. The album will be available on CD and online streaming platforms, with a hometown all-ages launch show at Carriers Arms Hotel.
The single Downward starts with a hard-edged riff that sets the tone for what’s to come. The backdrop of a lush verse will draw you in, then have you pumping your fist and banging your head when the chorus kicks in. Luke Karolak (guitar/vocals) said, “Downward is about dealing with loss, as well as the processes in connection with that, but also moving forward, and adopting a what’s done is done mentality, living in the present. The song is based very loosely on a period in our lives where we are at the proverbial ‘fork in the road’, not knowing where to look, or turn.” The Everything Eventually album picks up where their 2022 EP Whispers left off, adding five new tracks to complete the record. “This album deals with loss, heartbreak, redemption, and soul searching. It is not just eleven songs; it is eleven statements!“
