RHAPSODY OF FIRE Bask In Glory Of New Album

Widely regarded as the pioneers of symphonic power metal, Rhapsody Of Fire return with their latest album, Glory For Salvation on November 26.

The album is already being touted as a new era for Rhapsody Of Fire, continuing the trilogy started with previous album The Eighth Mountain.

Founding member Alex Staropoli joined HEAVY to discuss the album and how it does indeed usher in a new chapter for the Italian powerhouse.

“It took two years working on this album,” Alex revealed, “from the time I started composing to the release date. Two years of hard work. Musically, we are very happy, and also the mix is next level.”

As mentioned, Glory For Salvation is the second chapter in a three part series that started with The Eighth Mountain, so we ask Alex to bring us up to speed.

“It’s the second chapter,” he affirmed. “At this stage of the story the hero has opened his eyes and realised the reality of his surroundings and understands he has to fight with all his strength to accomplish all his goals.”

To find out more about the storyline, tune in to the full interview below where Alex also talks more about the album, writing conceptual story arcs, how the band develops the stories over time, the cinematic landscape of the band’s music, the early days of the band and more.
