Pleasure to Kill, Reign in Blood, Bonded By Blood. These are three of thrash’s classics and Harlott’s debut album Origin has the potential to be cemented in the thrash history books along with them.
From the word go Harlott’s Origin is a balls out thrash metal assault including everything a thrasher could dream of, riffs to mosh to, face melting leads and those good old head banging riffs.
The album features some brand new tracks as well as some re-recorded versions of some tracks on previous demos which was great to see, with crushing tracks such as Virus, Heretic and Ballistic being big stand outs on the first listen. The production of the album is on par with a lot of current international releases which just adds to the intensity of the album
If Origin is anything to go by, Australia will be seeing a lot more of Harlott as they certainly stand out as one of the best thrash bands in Australia.
