Channelling Godflesh, Nailbomb and Meathook Seed, Arizona outfit Realize are preparing to launch their sophomore album Machine Violence.
An abrasive and hyper-aggressive outpouring of industrial metal, Machine Violence sees the band utilizing no amps or drums in the recording process, with vocals, guitars, and bass all using computerized amps and effect modulations. Even the drums were programmed on an Alesis machine.
The pace of Machine Violence is unrelenting throughout as Realize tackles stark themes such as isolation, altered reality, simulations, and anxiety, taking inspiration from science fiction writers such as Phillip K Dick and Frederik Pohl.
