Rare Phenomenon are thrilled to announce the release of their single ‘The One and the Only’ across all streaming platforms.
By blending the D.I.Y approach of Punk and Indie, the technicality of Math Rock, Jazz and
Classical and the power and intensity of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, Rare Phenomenon results in a unique blending of these styles to create a sound like no other. Their new single ‘The One and the Only’ features the band’s raw power and creativity blended through the combination of all the musicians involved.
“Through ‘The One and the Only’, I wanted to capture the high energy power we display live and blend it with our ability to make a catchy and creative composition” shares Rhett, the lead singer and guitarist from Rare Phenomenon. “It’s fast paced and that’s what I like about it” adds Josh, drummer and singer from Rare Phenomenon.
The title, “The One and the Only” tells the tale of believing in someone as being “the one and the only” for them and therefore their true destiny, most notably a love passion.
Rhett further adds: “We’ve had this one in our arsenal for a year now, it started life as an instrumental that our bassist Alex would showcase during the shows as he brought the riff ideas into rehearsal one day and it went from there, eventually I wrote lyrics for it and then we sped up it’s tempo and now we’ve managed to create a really well-refined rock song.”
Rare Phenomenon spent the past several months refining the song to make it the force of nature that it is now, having just recently finished recording and mixing it, the band cannot wait to share the track with the world upon release. From jamming the song for a year to refining and recording it, utilising the facilities at Box Hill Institute for a professional studio sound, Rare Phenomenon has created something that is unique and current while attributing to the music of the Rock and Metal genres.
From August 16th, 2024, ‘The One and the Only’ will be available on all major streaming platforms. Rare
