Sydney hardcore outfit Two Faced are releasing their new album Everlasting Pain at 7pm on Friday, September 16.
Described as a frenetic burst of in your face aggression, Two Faced comprise former members of reputable bands such as Toe To Toe, As Silence Breaks, Daemon Pyre and Headbutt, all of which bring their individual styles and influences to the table and explode them into a sonic barrage that has to be heard to be appreciated.
HEAVY caught up with bass player Matty Albert ahead of the release.
“We’re just trying to go the old school hardcore punk sound,” he affirmed. “We’re quite heavy as well… I don’t know, we didn’t really intend to be so heavy, but we ended up that way. It’s good.”
In the full interview, Matt talks more about the musical direction of Everlasting Pain, the singles released from the album, the band’s sound and where it comes from, what they brought from their previous outfits into Two Faced, musical influences, upcoming shows and more.
