‘Carved In Stone’ kicks off the EP in fine form showing amazing vocals and brilliant guitar playing that screams for attention The instrumental side to the track reaches heights that I was never expecting to hear on a debut EP. The awesome vocals continue on ‘A Thousand Faces’ which also showcases the very visual lyrics of the band. Close your eyes while listening to this track and you can see the lyrics come to life in your imagination.
‘Black Blood’ reveals a more brutal sound to Primitive but at the same time sees the band work so well together that they sound like a band that has been together for thirty years. The EP then closes with the epic sounding ‘Scriptures Burning’ which very quickly conjures up thoughts of Lamb Of God.
