Today we bring you the first viewing of Terminal Zero‘s new song and video for 2020 with a COVID-19 inspired belter called “Times Like This”.
“Times Like This” is the second song from Terminal Zero since reshuffling and bolstering their line up with ex-Clone B and San Marcos frontman Matty Searle. Once again the musical diversity and bounce is evidently combining a hip hop/nu-metal grove with huge chorus vocals and a killer riff to mosh along with.
Matt Warnock talked with HEAVY about the new track, “The song has a strong lyrical meaning emphasising the anxiety of living with the unknown issues, restrictions, and then praising the frontline and ‘returning to what we used to know’ with a chorus aimed at staying strong and fighting even though ‘we’ve never seen times like this’ before.”
COVID-19 restrictions have given plenty of time to bands write music however it hasn’t been an easy time for the Terminal Zero to get together to make a music video, “We couldn’t get De Silva [Involuntary Muscle – Graphic artist and film prodcuer] to Adelaide or us to Melbourne to shoot anything, unfortunately” Matt said. This hasn’t stopped Terminal Zero as their trusted video dude Richard De Silva from has whipped up another visual aid to enjoy the track with. This is the 5th video De Silva has done for Terminal Zero and we all know Terminal Zero like to have a video to watch when releasing a new track.
Producer and mixer, Dw Norton, is once again doing what he does all so well.
