In November 2025, during a run of Australian shows celebrating the legacy of legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, Quiet Riot founding member Kelly Garni was joined on stage by Australian rock powerhouse Snake Bite Whisky for a special performance of the track Killer Girls.
What began as a one-off moment during the show quickly sparked a bigger idea.
Following the tour, Garni and Snake Bite Whisky headed into the studio to capture the song properly, recording a new version of Killer Girls that channels the energy of that live performance while paying tribute to one of rock’s most influential guitarists.
Killer Girls was written by Randy Rhoads and Kevin Dubrow and originally appeared on the album Quiet Riot II, released in 1979. ‘It’s a sleazy rock and roll story about wild women in the nightlife scene and the trouble they can cause‘ says Snake Bite Whisky guitarist Scuba Steve.
The release of Killer Girls honours the 44th anniversary of Randy Rhoads’ passing on March 19, 1982. Featuring Garni alongside Snake Bite Whisky, the recording stands as a salute to Rhoads’ enduring impact on generations of guitarists and the hard rock scene that followed in his wake.
