Sydney-based musician William Raleigh Vere Evatt is… I HAVE FOUR NAMES!
Today he drops the next cut, Lock Him Away! (Parts 1 & 2) from his forthcoming sophomore record, SUSPENDED SENTENCE which will be released on July 29.
“This is the song which opens the new album,” Will explained. “I wanted to start off with something which captured the entire scope of the project, which takes some hard left turns from indie rock to some more electronic diversions as well as some harder stuff. So we have a two-part song – the first section is a frenetic rock track featuring crazy live drumming from Stewart Geddes. The second part is basically a ‘remix’ of the first, where I used programmed drums, a lot of synth and vocal manipulation and… slap bass. All up it’s the longest song I’ve ever made – a massive 4 minutes and 7 seconds. As for what the song is about? Getting your brain burgled.”
Suspended Sentence is out Friday, July 29 and you can get it for yourself via CD, cassette and MiniDisc at ihavefournames.com
