Melbourne five-piece hardcore/thrash machines Deadweight 80 have bounced back from the global events of the last 18 months with a ripping new single “N.J.N.P” (No Justice No Peace).
The song is a throwback to the early days of hardcore with an unrelenting delivery of in-your-face vocals punctuated by blasting drumbeats and guitar and bass work that threaten to melt the very skin from your face.
The subject matter for “N.J.N.P” is typically confronting, revolving around unanswered police brutality throughout Australia and around the world from indigenous deaths in custody to innocent African children being slaughtered in their own beds as they sleep.
Returning with a new vocal attack, Deadweight 80 promise to come at you hard throughout 2021, with a myriad of ideas planned for the near future.
“N.J.N.P” was filmed at the Old Kilmore Gaol which just happens to be the location for Deadweight 80’s upcoming performance at the inaugural Kilfest, headlined by King Parrot, Desecrator and Frankenbok!
