Sydney hardcore outfit Arteries refuse to ease into the release of their latest offering Outdoor Claustrophobic on April 16, instead opting to unleash another barnstorming track off the album to tease their fans.
Brutal and uncompromising, “Under The Influence” tears into your psyche from the outset with a crunching guitar riff accentuated by an almost groove metal style rhythm section that spits and scratches its way to the surface before succumbing to a foreboding synth section perfectly in tune with the dark and sombre musings laid down by vocalist Brendan Dafter.
“Under the Influence” maintains raw intensity throughout with a maelstrom of djent riffs, brutal breakdowns and magnetic vocals which evoke the polished ferociousness of extreme metal legendaries such as Meshuggah and The Dillinger Escape Plan while still retaining that distinctly Australian flavour.
