Oriental metal pioneers Orphaned Land touring Australia in March 2014.

Prognosis is positive as Middle Eastern progressive heavy metal band Orphaned Land announce Australian shows in March as part of their “All Is One World Tour”, which will include Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

After two decades of entwining elements from traditional Middle Eastern music with the fundamentals of progressive heavy metal, Orphaned Land will embark on their first ever tour down under. The Oriental metal band are quite possibly the most popular Israelis in the Middle East, with their music attracting a huge Arab following. Orphaned Land reaches out to their Muslim fans and uses heavy metal, of all things, as a vehicle to unite enemies.

Orphaned Land’s career contains many highlights. These include supporting Metallica, Amoprhis and Dio, collaborating with Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Opeth) and playing major festivals such as Sonisphere, Hellfest and Wacken Open Air. They will be hitting Australia following a mammoth 50-show headlining run through Europe.

The tour will be in support of the recently released All Is One (Century Media, 2013), the album that frontman Kobi Farhi has deemed as “the greatest album we’ve made to date.”

Accompanying the Middle Eastern metallers will be the rising stars of Australian heavy prog Voyager (WA) and the incredibly awesome, Orsome Welles (pun intended).

Tickets go on sale on Friday the 27th of September at 9am via wildthingpresents.com, Oztix & the venues.
