OF MICE & MEN Speak Of Their Return To Oz

It’s been a hot minute since Californian locals Of Mice & Men were last in Australia – six years to be precise, when they were among the line up for Download Festival in 2018.

Excitingly, the four-piece juggernaut are here for a run of Aussie shows, with support from Melbourne’s Dream On Dreamer and Sydney’s Sienna Skies.

With a brand new album, Tether, hot off the press, the band is thrilled to be returning to our shores again.

“It’s been a really long time, so we’re really happy to get back,” drummer Valentino Arteaga enthusiastically told HEAVY this week, “We’re going to be bringing songs from all of our discography, and we’re going to be rocking out with everybody!”

Arteaga says that the band is especially eager to be performing new material on this tour.

“It’s been cool to get to see these be translated into a live form. You know, we really made these last two records thinking they would be, as we call, a ‘headphone record’, where people are going to listen to it in headphones and that it would take some time to see it live. So for us to be able to deliver the album, release it and now we’re touring it, it’s magical moments every night.”

Tether is still very new, it was released worldwide on October 6th and Arteaga proudly stated that it’s reception has been extremely positive.

“It’s been hugely encouraging to see all the positivity around it and to know that it’s really connecting with our listeners.”
