Brisbane’s Aversions Crown are riding high on new record XENOCIDE, their second for worldwide metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast Entertainment, produced by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder). Crashing into the ARIA charts at #38 and cracking the illustrious US Billboard Top 200 to land at #136 is a huge achievement for this up and coming and relatively unknown in the U.S., Australian act.
2017 will only get busier for them as debut American dates and a full slate of European summer festival appearances with the likes of Amon Amarth, Megadeth and Hatebreed approach. Melbourne’s Boris The Blade return to the fray with Warpath, their first effort for Siege Records. Last seen nationally bludgeoning venues with Suicide Silence, Warpath saw Boris The Blade employ a collaborative approach to recording utilizing different engineers for vocals and instruments with Lance Prenc of Half Moon Productions overseeing the final product. With international dates beckoning, Boris The Blade will be taking Warpath to the world.
Like a cataclysmic storm making landfall, the brand new album Xenocide from crushing Brisbane outfit Aversions Crown destroyed everything in its path. The band refined and sharpened their already potent mix of brutal death metal speed and violence with eldritch atmospherics, audio manipulation and vocalist Mark Poida’s otherworldly vocal range and ability into a new level of destruction.
