With around 10 gigs in the 12 months since forming, Cowboys and Injuries are about the live sound. It’s fun, solid punk rock with a Gold Coast flavour. Playing both Brisbane and Gold Coast our biggest crowds have been as one of the local support bands for Guttermouth and the other with Get Dead.
Matt and Nick on guitars kick off a lot of the songwriting, including this song, ‘Antivaccication’. This song’s definitely aimed at being a kick in the teeth to uneducated anti-vax supporters. We’ve got a big range of seriousness in the songs we play, others are just for laughs but there’s a bit of each of our attitudes and personalities in there. Lyrical writing is often shared with Andy, the drummer and Dave brings in the bass and the technical skills for our recordings.
