Introducing Melbourne locals Bad Juju and their new single ‘Say It’. They recently sold out their single launch show at The Gaso which is awesome! They’re digging into some new territory here – I hear a little bit of Trophy Eyes in this one, while still running true to that dark, jangly sound we’ve come to love from the band. ‘Say It’ sees the band covering familiar territory in mental health and self-esteem, while exploring a more fun and upbeat terrain instrumentally – a sign of maturity as the band move into their second year together.
Last year Bad Juju released their absolute belter of a track, ‘Moving On’, which you may remember was added to high rotation and also landed them a slot as Unearthed feature artist. Whilst they’ve been fairly quiet on the music front since the release of their debut EP Hidden Desire last year, Bad Juju have remained busy on the road, honing their explosive live shows with supports alongside Trophy Eyes, Sienna Skies, Mayday Parade (USA), and an east coast run with rising stars Bakers Eddy. They also jumped on the BIGSOUND lineup last year – pretty huge waves for a band that at the time had less than a year behind them.
