Brisbane’s Of Misery have announced the release of their new single from their forthcoming EP “Black Noose.” The EP drops this Friday August 10th on all digital outlets, with the single live for all to consume now! Pre-Orders for the Black Noose EP are available now – with all the options available at ofmisery.com!
Down-Tempo and Bone Crushingly HEAVY, Of Misery blend the aggression of deathcore and the emotion of hardcore in their music. Their lyrics deal with subjects such as depression, anxiety, denial, bullying, and abuse. The record was Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Cory Judd at Colossal Tracks Studio (She Cries Wolf, A Night in Texas, Crowned in Flesh and more).
Drummer Cai Cardenas from the band said that the release has a lot of significance for the band. “We have put our all into this release and we can’t be more ecstatic about the results. We hope that the discussion around the topics contained helps those suffering depression and mental health issues make sense of their world around them – as we know that the making of this world helped us make sense of the grief and loss of loved ones to this affliction.”
To celebrate the release of the EP, the band will take to the stage Friday August 10th in Brisbane, supporting Wreath and The Gloom in the Corner at The Morrison Hotel!
Formed in mid 2017, their original lineup consisted of Charley Watson on vocals, Bart Tyson and Andy Barker on guitars, Julian Lang on bass and Cai Cardenas on Drums. After a few months of writing they released their debut single “Immortal” in October 2017. In June of 2018 Andy Barker left the band to pursue other interests and was soon replaced by Dan McLuckie.
