Hardcore band Maya announce big moves with the upcoming release of their Despierta EP which will be available on July 15 via Shark City Recordings.
The news drops following the release of their first single Sangrando. They also premiered a new live studio video via No Echo to accompany the track and share a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their creative process.
The band debuted a limited pressing of the Despierta EP for 2000+ fans at their local stomping grounds in June and the coveted physical copies sold out in one night. Those who weren’t lucky enough to snatch a copy must wait a few more weeks to relish in the band’s long-awaited masterpiece. Starting now, listeners can get exclusive pre-order and merchandise opportunities as they gear up for the big day.
Despierta translates to “awakening” – and the band is ready for an awakening of their fanbase and a revitalization of their own musical identity as they plunge headfirst into this new chapter after a tumultuous year of lockdown.
