There’s something special about a Motionless In White and In This Moment show. Maybe it’s the fans who cosplay as the members of the bands. Or maybe it’s the smile that Motionless In White frontman Chris Motionless wears during all of his sets. When you combine both bands together and throw them on the same tour, you’re in for a night you’ll never forget. Motionless In White delivered a spectacular opening performance that featured both old and new favorites from all four albums making it a fun time for both old and new fans. Their stage setup came alive in the lights of the venue making sure you got to experience their gothic horror theatrics to their fullest. Not only did singer Chris Motionless have a killer crowd connection but he had help boosting it through the roof with the help of stage dancer Kylie Devyn. She was by his side during their songs “Dead as F*ck”, “Reincarnate”, and “America” which added an extra touch to the performance. Kylie also interacted with the fans by throwing candy out of a jack o’lantern into the crowd and even sprayed the front row with a giant water gun. One thing that always sticks out at a MIW show, however, is their true musical talent and awesome stage presence. Whether it was Ricky Horror, Ryan Sitkowski, or Devin Ghost shredding their guitars, or Vinny Mauro rocking his drums, you cannot deny they are truly amazing musicians and artists. Singer Chris Motionless’ vocals sounded no different live than on their albums. Breakdowns were kept as all three guitarists, Ricky, Ryan, and Ghost, headbanged through their entirety. This reeled the fans in to join along and headbang all in sync.
In This Moment immediately got the crowd moving and on their feet again by opening up with their hit song “Blood”. With their high energy and outrageous stage set up, In This Moment did not fail to keep their fans wanting more during their set. One thing that makes an In This Moment show so special and lively is front woman Maria Brink’s stage presence as she recreates the band’s videos on stage. With their over the top stage costuming and support for The Black Widow herself, The Blood Girls kept the stage alive throughout the entire set. They crept around the stage and danced making Maria stand out even more. Even though their stage set up, dancing, and musical talent is undeniably incredible, it was the fans that truly made this In This Moment show spectacular. Many fans came from quite a distance dressed for the night and cosplaying as the members of ITM. This alone demonstrated how dedicated and loving their fans are. Chris Motionless and Maria Brink came together for an unforgettable performance of “Black Wedding”. Their onstage chemistry is undeniable and one of the best I have been privileged to witness. Anticipation for ITM’s performance of their new single “Oh Lord” was intense, and they were treated to an interesting light orb dance. Maria closed the show with an encore performance of “Whore”.
In This Moment and Motionless In White are without a doubt very fun bands to see live. Both bands actively engage their fans and try to grab as many hands as they can during their performances. Smiles never leave the band member faces, truly showing everyone how much they love what they do.
