Witnessing local bands Black Jesus, Earth and Anatomy was a sweet way to kick off the night.

Entombed are one of the most old school and Extreme bands of the genre to come out of the Swedish metal scene in the late 80’s early 90’s next to At The Gates, In Flames, Arch Enemy and Meshuggah to name a few.

The ‘Serpent Saints’ of Entombed AD with the line-up consisting of Victor Brandt, Olle Dahlstedt, Guilherme Miranda, Nico Elgstrand with Lars Goran-Petrov their ‘Chief Rebel Angel’, really did an awesome job of transporting you back in time to their early groove,d-beat, grind, thrash, doom, rot ‘n’ roll and extreme death-laden music.

Interacting with the crowd and proving why the do what they do musically with no fucks given and all sins forgiven.

They played a lot of earlier stuff from albums such as Left-Hand-Path, Clandestine, Wolverine Blues, MorningStar and stuff from their last two releases “Back To The Front” and “Dead Dawn”.

Being the 10th Anniversary of Serpent Saints was hoping to hear ‘Amok‘ or ‘When In Sodom‘ as they had pretty much the same line-up.

With booze being knocked back like Vikings and heads banging like it was the 80’s Entombed AD delivered and were a privilege to see and hear, being the Swedish answer to Obituary/Napalm Death/Carcass for me.

Do yourself a favour and take in some Swedish metal culture while Entombed AD is on tour.

Entombed AD gets a 6.66/6. \m/
