As we stumble into 2022 amid more concert cancellations, HEAVY is pleased to be able to reflect on Australia’s newest and most recent music festival Knight & Day, which debuted late last year at Kryal Castle in Ballarat.
Featuring a stellar all -Australian line-up including Parkway Drive, Trophy Eyes, Hellions, Clowns, Void Of Vision, The Chats, Polaris, Future Static, The Getaway Plan and more, Knight & Day briefly turned the clock back to the glory days of the past with a two-day extravaganza that temporarily pushed all thoughts of the previous two years of live misery to the background.
While COVID robbed HEAVY of our reviewer, we did manage to document the occasion through the lens of Mitchell O’Rourke, who braved the conditions to capture the moments in time beautifully.
Big thanks to Destroy All Lines for having us along, and here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for the nation so that festivals such as Knight & Day will once again be a regular fixture on the music calendar!
