Lucky punters at the Anthrax set at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco yesterday got the treat of their lives when Metallica’s Kirk Hammett joined them on stage to perform  the AC/DC classic ‘TNT’.

Anthrax have been throwing the track into their live repertoire of late but it’s always made much more special when the lead guitarist of the worlds biggest band jumps up to jam it with them.

The New York thrash legends have been headlining the Metal Alliance tour across the U.S which also features Exodus,  Municipal Waste, Holy Grail and High on Fire. The likes of other metal legends have been spotted in the audience with Machine Heads Robb Flynn also posting about Hammett’s appearance and Kerry King and John Tempesta of The Cult fame also spotted at the House of Blues L.A shows.

During the bands two L.A legs a few days earlier, Slash took the honours of special guest for the same track but punters there were also treated to an appearance by Public Enemies Chuck D, who joined Anthrax to perform their 1991 collaboration classic ‘Bring The Noise’.
