Dave Mustaine hints at recording with Willie Nelson

Share This:

If you follow Megadeth main man Dave Mustaine on social media sites, you would’ve noticed some interesting ramblings from him yesterday.

Out having a meal in Austin Texas, the most famous red head in metal rather excitedly posted on his Twitter and Facebook accounts that he’d just met country legend Willie Nelson. Innocent enough, except within a few hours MegaDave took to Tweeting again, this time posting a photo of the two and stating that he was talking Nelson about a guest appearance on Megadeth’s upcoming 14th album Super Collider.

Mustaine has finished vocal tracking on the new album, so it will be interesting to see if Nelson does indeed appear on the suggested track The Blackest Crowe.

Super Collider will be Megadeth’s first release since parting ways with Road Runner and joining Universal Music distributed label Tradecraft and will be out in June.

Of late, Mustaine has been alienating himself from his fan base and the last album Th1rt3en wasn’t received too well so will fans want to hear a Megadeth album that has a track on it featuring a country singer or will it go down the same road as Mustaine’s former band mates Metallica’s  collaboration with Lou Reed in 2011? We all know how that story ended.
