Headlining Friday night are the legendary UFO: an iconic band formed way back in 1969, with decades of excellence in the business. The band is fielding a kickass line-up: fronted by Phil Mogg (vocals), with Paul Raymond (keyboards and guitar), Andy Parker (drums), Vinnie Moore (lead guitar) and Rob de Luca (bass). UFO have long been known for their meaty riffs, distinctive hooks, the range and intelligence of their songwriting and carefully crafted lyrics, not to mention their stage presence and performance. A great chance to see a great British band!
Thursday’s headliners are Tyketto: a hard rock band from New York City, formed in 1987 by former Waysted vocalist Danny Vaughn. Tyketto’s current line-up features Vaughn (lead vocals, acoustic guitar; also harmonica, mandolin, and percussion), Michael Clayton Arbeeny (drums, percussion, and vocals), Ged Rylands (keyboards and vocals), Chris Green (guitar and vocals) and Chris Childs (bass guitar). Tyketto have long been HRH favourites, with HRH Mag noting back in 2016, “Tyketto have forged their reputation on incendiary live shows fronted by the effervescent Danny Vaughn.” See them again at HRH AOR VII.
HRH are also delighted to announce an appearance of Dave Bickler (ex Survivor). Dave Bickler, a vocalist known for his range and power, was the frontman of Survivor between 1978 and1983, and is particularly known as the singer of the band’s seven-week Number One Billboard charts hit The Eye of the Tiger (the theme tune to Rocky III). Sylvester Stallone himself asked Survivor to provide the theme song for the film, which also marked the big screen appearance of Mr T (as “Clubber” Lang), so dig out those gold chains and get jogging and rocking, Dave Bickler’s coming to HRH AOR VII!
In total, HRH AOR has already drawn together 26 for its 2019 line-up, including the above artists; also: The Electric Boys, Tigertailz, Mitch Malloy, Pretty Boy Floyd, Vega, Romeo’s Daughter, Kane’d, The Radio Sun, Bai Bang, Saints of Sin, Psycho Kiss, New Generation Superstars, Fahran, Captain Black Beard, Heartbreak Remedy, Void, Epic, Haxan, Sordid Lies, The Wicked Jackals, Corvus, Silent Jack, and Kiss the Gun.
The high demand isn’t surprising, given HRH’s rep for delivering the goods, such as an awesome line-up along with state of the art staging, high quality accommodation, beautiful surroundings in North Wales, and of course HRH’s trademark fun, shenanigans and rock-lovin’ community.
26 bands have now been announced, with MORE TO COME (including a major headliner for Saturday night)
